Project ref. numberIPBU.01.02.00-90-574/11-00

The project aims to increase the annual number of visitors to the six selected cities - Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomiya (Ukraine) and Lublin, Zamość and Przeworsk (Poland). The selected cities will constitute a network of cultural and tourist centres of Western Ukraine and Eastern Poland.
The activities focus on tourism products quality improvement and on professional promotional campaigns to take full advantage of the cultural and historical heritage of the target cities. The partners want to develop digital content for portable media devices to promote self-guided city tours. Audio files and audio equipment will be distributed via the tourist information offices network and the city websites. The self-guided tours will be supported by new tourist maps and signage system to secure better orientation.  Audio tours and maps will be available in different languages.
The promotional activities include joint publications, press and international tour operators visits. Specifically, joint promotion events conducting on both sides of the border will allow to promote the cities as a part of a cross-border cultural tour. In addition more than 100 representatives of target cities and other cities from both countries will participate in Transfrontier City Cultural Tourism Forum in order to share experience and elaborate common strategies for future actions.
The partners also want to conduct a survey of tourism businesses in the 6 target cities to identify the gaps and problems in development of city cultural tourism, check effectiveness of promotional tools and consider new tourism products development and their marketing especially in the cross-border dimension.
