Measure3.1. Regional and local cross-border cooperation capacity building

Project ref. numberIPBU.03.01.00-20-440/11-00

The main objective of the project is to establish institutional cooperation in the field of fire protection. The partners want to increase availability of qualified staff and equipment to support cross-border cooperation on the regional and local levels. Special focus will be put on supporting voluntary fire brigades, especially those being formed on the territory of the Brest Oblast.

Transboundary Voluntary Center "Fireman” with branch offices in both countries will be established as the new institutional framework to stimulate the cooperation. The center shall facilitate the process of foundation of voluntary fire brigades in Belarus. The new structures are still in the development phase and are in need of qualified volunteers. The Belarusian partner will take advantage of the Polish experience in this respect.
