The project’s overall objective is to improve road traffic safety and accessibility of the tri-border area of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. It shall result in a long-term cooperation in the field of cross-border transport infrastructure development. The partners also want to prepare the Wlodawa Poviat and the Shatsk Raion for future increase of the tourist traffic after a new direct border-crossing is opened.

Both partners will purchase new snow plows, road shoulder cutters, wood-chippers, tipper vehicles, gritters, backhoe loaders and other equipment to increase the standards of the road maintenance. GPS locators will be installed on the vehicles to ensure effective and timely operations. Interactive map presenting the road network in the Włodawa Poviat and the Shatsk Raion wll be also prepared. In addition there will be trainings on the proper management of the transport network
