„Migovo" border guard unit reconstructed in Lviv Oblast


The border guard unit "Migovo" of Mostyska border guard detachment resumed functioning on Polish-Ukrainian border after the reconstruction. The large-scale reconstruction was executed within the project "Development of Modern Border Guard Sections Infrastructure" (PBU/LSP/09/001) co-financed by the Programme with the grant of 7 958203,08 EUR.


The opening ceremony was attended by Colonel General Viktor Nazarenko, the Head of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine; Piotr Patla, the Commandant of Bieszczady Unit of Border Guard Service of Polish Republic; Oleh Synyutka, the Head of Lviv Oblast State Administration as well as representatives of partner institutions. In His speech, Colonel General Viktor Nazarenko congratulated all the border guards on their professional holiday and gave awards for the excellence in service. Also, three officers received keys from the apartments in the house for the border guard service staff. 

In total, 9 million UAH was allocated for the modernization of "Migovo" border guard unit in 2013-2015. The works included reconstruction of 11 buildings, installation of water supply and canalization networks, replacement of heating supply networks and construction of a new boiler-house. The visitors could also observe the vehicles and equipment used by border guard forces, including those purchased within the project.
