New Large Infrastructure Projects in preparation

The first step of the Large Infrastructure Projects (LIPs) application process was launched on 1 September 2016. According to the decision of the Joint Monitoring Committee, on this day the Lead beneficiaries of all LIPs were invited to submit their Project Summaries to the JTS. The LIP Project Summaries shall be submitted by 30 November 2016.

To ensure smooth preparation process of the LIPs the Joint Technical Secretariat will organise three seminars for potential project beneficiaries from Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. The seminars will take place in Warsaw (Poland), Minsk (Belarus) and Lviv (Ukraine) in September and October 2016.

Within the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020, the large infrastructure projects shall be selected only through a direct award procedure. The projects have been selected and agreed by the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) before submission of the Joint Operational Programme (JOP) to the European Commission (EC). A list of all the LIPs proposed for selection without a call for proposals has been included in the the Joint Operational Programme of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020.

The Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 has identified 18 Large Infrastructure Projects (10 projects on the main list and 8 projects on the reserve list).

The identified projects are aimed at improvement and development of transport services and infrastructure, addressing common security challenges, support to border efficiency and security, health protection as well as promotion of local culture and history in the Programme area.

The overall indicative amount made available from the Programme for the Large Infrastructure Projects is 52,07 MEUR.
