Project idea (in English)
The main objective of our project is a structured exchange of artists from Poland and Ukraine (30 persons). We are going to invite them to participate in the cycle of workshops during which they will create Polish – Ukrainian tandems and together will carry out the work art based on photography, film and visual arts. Finished films, exhibitions and visual performances will be presented during the "Tandem Festival" which will take place in Bialystok and Lviv. In addition, we plan to make a free call for entries to the festival from Polish and Ukrainian citizens. Financial rewards in an open competition are the part of our plan. The aim of the project is broadening cultural exchange between the two countries – knowledge of the history, customs, ways of life, mentality – and translating this in form of artistic works, as well as disenchanting stereotypes operating in the media and pop culture on both Poles and Ukrainians.
